Dealing with Family Grief - Jessica Mockett

When we lose a pet or a loved one suddenly, unexpectedly, or to prolonged illness our grief can be overwhelming. Grief is a human experience we all will go through, often many times in our lives. As adults, we sometimes struggle processing our feelings and healing our broken hearts. It can be even more challenging for children, especially experiencing grief and loss for the first time.

There are steps we can take and tools we can use to help ourselves and our children handle process the losses we go through.

Schedule Session

Schedule a session and I will come to your home to help your family, the children especially, to cope by using and/or teaching the following tools:

The Body Code

This tool contains The Emotion Code as well as utilizing all of the body maps to help the whole body to heal itself by removing energetic imbalances. Many imbalances can form when struck with grief; from trapping negative emotions like sorrow or depression to weakening the immune system from stress overload.

The Belief Code

We can form negative belief systems that do not serve us and actually impact our lives long-term by keeping us from become and being our best and highest self. Intense beliefs can sometimes form when we experience traumas like the loss of a loved one, even our beloved pets. Catching these toxic beliefs early and removing them will only help children to grow up more healthily.

Tapping (EFT)

This modality is a powerful tool for anyone to have in their toolbox, but children especially benefit from this technique because it is one they can easily learn and do for themselves. Tapping through grief, depression, anxiety, stress is an excellent way to cope.

Journaling Techniques

Learning to write about our experiences and feelings is an effective way to process grief. Capturing cute, loving, fun stories about our now deceased loved one is a wonderful way to commemorate their life. With children, creating art around the lost pet is also a wonderful processing technique.

Prayer/Spiritual Discussions

It can be very therapeutic to have discussions with children about where the loved one is now, what their new existence might be like. Prayer is also a wonderful tool to use to help bring comfort and closure to a tragic loss. I help lead those discussions and give guidance on how to offer prayers to get the answers or closure needed.

Crystals

These pretty stones can have wonderful supportive energy. We will discuss crystals best for use and options for how to utilize them.

Frequency Healing Sounds

Healing sounds, whether from a pre-recorded song, from a device, or from singing bowls can heal our spirits and bring subtle but valuable relief from sorrow.
